The Health Way for Human Rights combines natural landscapes with environmental and cultural interest points all along an open and continuous 26.4 km route. It's a multi-parish route giving visitors the chance to cross Andorra from south to north: It begins at Pont de Fontaneda, in Sant Julià de Lòria, and passes through the Vall de Sorteny Nature Park (in Ordino), Santa Coloma, Andorra la Vella, Escaldes-Engordany, Anyós, La Massana, Ordino, Sornàs, Ansalonga, La Cortinada, Arans, Llorts and El Serrat, where the Nature Park information point is located.

This route was promoted by the Andorran Government's Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Comuns (city councils), to foster a healthy lifestyle for everyone. Moreover, it has an extra aim, which is to publicise the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was promulgated by the United Nations' General Assembly on 10 December 1948. All 30 articles comprising the Charter can be found along the route. They coincide with every milestone on the route. The four last milestones (and articles) are located within the Vall de Sorteny Nature Park, where the route ends.

The Healthy Way for Human Rights has been endorsed by the World Health Organisation (WHO), which it was submitted to at the aforementioned organisation's Conference of European Regions event, held in 2016. The WHO has praised the simple and cross-disciplinary nature of this initiative, which merges the health benefits of physical exercise with the promotion of Andorran heritage and Human Rights.

Among other factors worth bearing in mind before taking this hike, remember:
- Plan your outing and adapt the route to your physical condition. Check the weather forecast and inform others of the route you plan on taking.
- Dress according to the weather: wearing comfortable clothes and shoes is important in order to enjoy the experience.
- Protect yourself from the sun: Wear sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen that is appropriate for your skin. Stay hydrated and eat enough to keep your energy levels up.
- Don't forget your mobile phone so that you can warn others if a problem or something unexpected arises.

The mountains belong to everyone. We're all responsible for taking care of them.
