Two routes to discover La Rabassa
Snowshoeing is an easy activity that is suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions. At Altitude 2000 we have two completely marked routes that are perfect for practising this activity:
- Footprint Trail:
walk on the wild side on this route in the middle of the mountains and take in the breathtaking scenery. Following the Roca de Pimes trail, the route takes you all the way to the refuge bearing the same name. Expect to see lots of incredible flora and fauna on this wonderful journey through the La Rabassa forests.
- Smugglers’ Route:
this circuit starts along the same route as the Footprint Trail before taking the Roca de Pimes trail and reaching Caborreu canal. Next you continue until arriving at the bunker in the Pinés plains. From here, the path climbs slightly up to the Bescaran viewpoint. Once there, the route descends alongside the Roca de Pimes refuge.
The cherry on top of these two routes is the amazing views you’ll enjoy of Pic Negre, which stands at 2642 metres tall.
