The Andorra Bus Tour is probably the most comfortable way of discovering the main places of interest in our country. The 7 itineraries on offer cover all of the parishes of the Principality with different central themes: Romanesque art, traditions, trades, etc. And of course, they all have one thing in common – the scenery – as uniquely beautiful panoramic views and landscapes are hidden in every corner of Andorra. Here we explain everything you need to know before getting on the bus: validity periods, routes, types of ticket and other practical information.
In addition, on all the itineraries you will always be accompanied by a tourist guide who will explain all the details and peculiarities of the route! You will also be provided with an audio guide device to learn more, available in 4 languages for you to choose from: Catalan, Spanish, French and English.
Where and when to get the Andorra Bus Tour
This transport operates from 1 June to 31 October. During this period, departures are every day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays, and each day has a different itinerary.
All itineraries take half a day and take place in the mornings, with the exception of Saturdays, when the itinerary runs until 4.30 pm and includes lunch (drink not included).
You will find two bus stops in Andorra la Vella (bus stop Comú d’Andorra la Vella - Church of Sant Esteve and bus stop la Sardana - La Poste) and one in Escaldes-Engordany (bus stop Caldea). See the map of the bus stops here.
Important information to bear in mind before booking your ticket:
- The departure and arrival times are approximate (arrive 5 minutes early).
- The Tourist Bus reserves the right to cancel the route if there are fewer than five passengers.
- The price includes the entrance of museums and churches which will be visited during the trip.
- The tour will be always accompanied by a qualified guide.
- Confortable shoes are recommended. some parts of the itineraries are on foot.
- Some routes and visits can be cancelled due to the weather conditions.
- Organisers are not liable for changes due to issues or reasons beyond management control.
- Thursday 08/09/2023 - National holiday of Meritxell, the tourist bus will not be operative.
BUS ITINERARIES
Cultural and Nature Sightseeing itinerary. The places to discover include the Santuario de Meritxell Basilica, the Sant Joan de Caselles Church and Lake Engolasters.
A journey through time to discover and taste local products and dive into the country’s history. This route involves visits to Casa Gendret, the Juberri Gardens and the Columba Centre.
A suggestion to discover some amazing natural areas, have the sweetest tasting session ever at one of the emblematic sites of the country’s Romanesque heritage. On this route we’ll go to the Roca de la Sabina viewpoint, the Xocoland chocolate factory; as well as the Church of Sant Cristòfol d'Anyós.
A trip through the history of the country’s inhabitants, while stopping to take in one of the most stunning views. In this itinerary we will go to the Church of Sant Miquel de La Mosquera, the National Automobile Museum and the Roc del Quer Viewpoint.
On this route, visitors will discover the Electricity Museum, the Engolasters hydroelectric route, Lake Engolasters and the Church of Sant Miquel.
On this route, which goes through the Ordino Valley, we will visit the Miniature Museum and the town of Ordino, the Sant Martí de la Cortinada Church as well as go along Iron Route. After lunch at a mountain hotel in Serrat, we’ll make the climb up to the Castellar Bridge in Arcalís.
A perfect route for taking in nature and travelling through time back to the development of the country’s iron industry, with a stop at the Romanesque Church of Sant Climent, the Coll de la Botella pass and the Farga Rossell forge and Iron Interpretation Centre.
