The channel granting access to the peak can still have snow even at the start of June. We cross the stream using the riverbed, although we shall avoid using this route after heavy rainfall.

We begin the route at the Church of Santa Coloma, and follow the GR along the streets of Santa Coloma until reaching the panel providing access to the Via Ferrada. We will see yellow markers accompanying us along the route.

The whole route is a steep climb, always following a well-beaten path, which follows the yellow markers and the track, taking us to the stream crossing. At this point, we leave the trees behind and we will be able to see the channel ahead of us. The slope continues to steepen until we find ourselves deep in the channel. At some point, we will have to use our hands to help ourselves across the decomposed land, and then we reach the top of the hill that leads to the last leg up to the summit, at 2402m. Here we can see the town of Ós de Civís, in Catalonia.

Here we leave the last section behind and carefully descend to the first part of the canal, as far as the GRP signs that send us to the right, onto a section for chains that will make continuing safer.

At this point, we will begin the descent to the town of Aixàs, where we will come across a small hill, only to quickly go down through the forest next to Santa Coloma, zigzagging along the track. We return to the starting point on Carrer Major, which leaves us at the Church of Santa Coloma.
