The La Comella - Merendero Viejo picnic area is one of the 6 recreational areas in the capital of Andorra and one of the few in this parish where you can have a barbecue. In fact, it has 4 barbecues and five sets of table+seats where you can eat comfortably with your family or friends. One of the advantages of this area is that it has a car park and drinking water supply for its users.
It is located on Urbanització Comella Parc road, at an altitude of 1,300 metres, on the green hillside that rises to the south-east of the city, just 5 minutes by car from the centre. It is important not to confuse this picnic area with another recreational area with a similar name: La Comella - Merendero Nuevo, situated very close to the La Comella - Merendero Viejo picnic area.
Before visiting a picnic site, check its status at the tourist information office of the parish in question.
