There are several winter sports in Andorra that make use of snow and you can enjoy them at various ski resorts such as Grandvalira, Ordino Arcalís and Pal Arinsal, as well as in center of activities outdoor such as Naturland or Canillo, known for its ice rink, as well as private slopes such as Serras Andorra. Downhill and freeride skiing are popular options, of course, but Andorra has developed many other winter sports such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding and many other activities. Some activities can be done at night, such as night skiing or mushing. After all that sport, you’ll have worked up an appetite, so you’ll want to go dine in one of the many excellent restaurants in the area offering traditional dishes, seasonal food and à la carte menus. These sports require a lot of energy so a hearty meal is essential, and here you can enjoy mountain cuisine with delicious local specialities. Winter sports also bring you into contact with the beautiful nature of Andorra.

Why enjoy winter sports in Andorra
In Andorra, we’re fortunate to get good snow every winter, which means you can do a range of sports such as cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, for example, which allows you to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the stunning natural views. You can also admire the entire mountain panorama with helicopter rides. The prices of activities are quite reasonable in Andorra, especially when compared with the price of certain ski passes. You can also rent equipment if you don't want to invest a lot of money or you don't want to pack too much equipment, such as skis, snowshoes, etc. It's a good alternative to purchasing outright for those who don't spend their holidays in the mountains often or who go for just a short time. Use sport to lose weight and feel lighter or simply to build muscle if you're already at your ideal weight. Mountain sports such as skiing, snowshoeing and hiking are particularly demanding because of the cold and are really useful if you want to lose weight. Professional skiers can develop their technique, while beginners can learn in the ski schools, and experienced skiers can improve their skills with the help of qualified staff.
