This 2.5 km mountain bike route with 145 m in elevation difference is of high difficulty.

The Font de les Ordigues route in the parish of Escaldes-Engordany is one of the most recommended routes for mountain biking enthusiasts due to its high technical level. Despite being a short route, the technical section has been designed and built with some jumps and technical areas over rocks. It’s perfect for both having fun and trying competition-level training, as it’s a circuit with an ideal size and difficulty level.

You start the route at the Font de la Closa-Engolasters picnic and barbecue area, where you can continue enjoying the day on the mountain after your bike route in a perfectly equipped setting. This picnic area is located 4.5 km away from the CS200 road at an altitude of 1500 m. It also has a space where you can leave your vehicle at no extra cost.

As this is a circular route, this will be both the starting and finishing point, which will begin with a very gentle climb along the road to warm up. This initial stretch will take you to a path that leads into the forest and which joins up with “Les Fonts Trail”, a popular route for keeping in shape that is shared with walkers; we therefore ask you to pay extra attention and show respect on the descent along this stretch.

This trail will take you along a wide road with a considerable climb through a spectacular forest. When you are almost at the end of the climb, you’ll find a sign that indicates the start of the descent of the black trail, which as its name indicates, is very difficult. If you aren’t an experienced technical level rider, we recommend that you continue on the blue trail until you get back to the road you climbed at the beginning of the route. At this point on the trail, all that remains will be to go down the road to the picnic area at the beginning of the route.

If you choose to go down the black trail of the Canal de les Molleres, you will find a fairly short stretch but one that has been built and designed to be enjoyed, including some jumps and technical areas surrounded by some spectacular scenery. This descent ends right in front of the picnic area where you started.

There you will be able to end your day with a nice picnic on the mountain, remembering to respect the safety and cleanliness standards at all times.

The route will take 35 minutes to complete. Suitable for mountain biking and E-bikes.
