If you’re a cycling enthusiast and want to continue enjoying your passion in winter, then a snowtrike could be for you! You’ll find this fun activity in the Pal Arinsal resort, where you can try it in both the Pal and Arinsal sectors.
What is a snowtrike and how does it work?
A snowtrike is a snow cycle similar to a snowbike or a snowscoot, but with a more modern and up-to-date set-up that will excite even the most daring riders and skaters!
Also propelled by a pedal mechanism, the snowtrike glides over the snow thanks to the three skis positioned on the base. These are a bit narrower than the skis on a snowscoot or a snowbike and have a system that allows them to tilt or lean on the sides, ensuring better grip and stability on the snow.
In addition, each snowtrike has an enhanced front suspension system – to make it easier to control the vehicle – and an adapted seat specially designed for going up in a chairlift. All you have to do is lower the rail and slide once you reach the summit.

Although it’s very easy to get the hang of this mode of transport, you will need some basic knowledge or experience, or to take an intro lesson. If you’re interested, there are lessons for this and other disciplines in both the Pal and Arinsal sectors! You’ll be able to get started at beginner’s level or build your knowledge and technique with the more advanced level.
You don’t need to bring any special equipment to do this activity, although it is recommended that you wear waterproof boots.
