Village: Parc Central d'Andorra la Vella
Andorra is the starting point for this prestigious road cycling event, crowned by a series of mountain roads high up in the Pyrenees.
What these mountains have in common is that they have all played host to some legendary days on the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España, two of the biggest multi-stage events on the world cycling calendar.
The Andorran leg of Haute Route Pyrénées forms part of Andorra Multisport Festival 2023 and will see competitors take on an 88 km route with 2,900 m of elevation gain. Participants will have to face three dizzying climbs, including the two highest mountains in the Principality, Port d’Envalira (2,409 m) and Port de Cabús (2,302 m), in addition to Coll d’Ordino (1,980 m).
The stage will begin at the Village, located in Parc Central, Andorra la Vella, the focal point of Andorra Multisport Festival.
During the Haute Route Pyrénées’ five stages, cyclists will travel a total of 555 km and climb 14,400 m before reaching the finish line in Pau, France.
Place and dates: 4 July 2023. The Village, Parc Central, Andorra la Vella.
