Grandvalira, Ordino Arcalís, Pal Arinsal and Naturland

From beginners to professionals, the most classic to the most daring, the fastest alpine skiers to the most resolute cross-country skiers... There are four ski resorts in Andorra: Grandvalira, Ordino Arcalís, Pal Arinsal and Naturland, which is also an adventure eco-park open all year round.

Grandvalira is not just the largest ski resort in our country, but also in the entire Pyrenees. In total, there are more than 200 kilometres of ski slopes, with a vast number of options for all levels – 14 green runs, 49 blue, 41 red and 19 black. The sectors are divided throughout several towns in two villages (Canillo and Encamp): Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo and Encamp. It has all of the services that a skier may need while practising this sport or afterwards: restaurants, equipment rental shops, Wi-Fi zone etc.

Pal Arinsal. The ideal choice for skiing in Andorra. The resort has 63 km of slopes split across two sectors, connected by a cable car and also accessible by an individual entry route for each sector. Skiers can enjoy five slalom slopes, seven green runs, 18 blue runs, 17 red runs and four black runs. There is a huge variety of services available across the sectors, including ski schools, equipment hire, nearby hotels and a programme of activities for those who do not ski.

Ordino Arcalís. This ski area has 30.5 km of slopes. Skiers can enjoy 11 red runs, two black runs, nine green runs and seven blue runs. The resort opens at the start of December and will remain open until the end of the season towards the end of April. A full part of the Grandvalira brand, Ordino Arcalís also has its own season ski pass. There is a broad range of services on offer, including ski school, equipment hire, restaurants and activities for those who do not ski.

Naturland offers something different than the ski resorts, as it is the only option in the Principality of Andorra for Nordic skiing. The 15 kilometres of tracks are in the upper sector of this adventure eco-park. It also has equipment rental and dining services, among others, and allows you to round out a day of skiing with other attractions in the area, such as the Tobotronc and Airtrekk.

All of these resorts are suitable for getting started to learn to ski, as it has schools and monitors who organise courses of different durations and levels.

Spend the longest day possible in the snow

If you want to have new downhill experiences, at Andorra you can practise less orthodox, but equally as fun, disciplines than the classic ones (alpine, Nordic, freeride). One example is Airboard, which is where you launch yourself downhill on a small air mattress, and you can do at Pal Arinsal. Another option is called Snowsnake, which is a group of several sleighs that combine to form a fun snake, thus allowing a group of friends to go down the slope together.  It is also available at Pal Arinsal, in all sectors.

But the possibilities don’t end there: Snowbikes, snowmobiles, snowshoeing and many other options for those who wish to experience new sensations.

Come and find out!

Other options besides skiing

At our resorts, the plans with snow go much beyond skiing
