It was formerly a private Chapel of the Casa Molines, which for centuries was one of the wealthiest and most prestigious stately homes in the parish. Inside is the altarpiece presiding the altar and dating back to the 16th century. This is one of the few in Renaissance style in Andorra. In the centre of the altar piece is the image of St Bartholomeu.
Its baldachin is also interesting as the only one in the principality, and consists of a painting on wood suspended over the altar and which represents the glorification of Jesus. This presents Gothic and other more recent elements which allow us to date it from the 15th century. The chapel porch was eliminated in the 20th century and was restored in 1985 following old photographs of the time.
