It is a half-day hike with medium difficulty in the parish of Ordino, known for its lush vegetation. You’ll follow a circular route between Arans and Llorts that takes you to discover the Font del Pi forest, picturesque hamlets known as bordes and a magnificent panoramic view.

The starting point is Arans bridge (N42 34.930 E1 31.224), which crosses the Valira del Norte, the river that passes through this valley. There you’ll find Camí Ral, turn left and, a little further on, turn right towards the Ensegur bordes.

As you gain altitude, follow the path to the Ensegur pass (N42 35.343 E1 32.149), and then to the Ensegur bordes (N42 35.468 E1 32.611), passing through a beautiful forest and across flowery meadows.

One look up and you’ll spot the Arenes pass and the majestic Casamanya peaks.

Take the same path to return to the Ensegur pass, where you’ll continue straight on and then to the right towards Llorts to pick up Camí Ral.

For your safety, we recommend doing all routes above 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.

You’ll find more details about this and other routes in the Trails of Andorra Hiking Guide.
