The kids’ fishing experience on Llac del Cubil lake is an activity aimed at children under the age of 14 who want to dive into the world of fishing.
The activity involves catch-and-release fishing while always accompanied by an adult. You can do it together as a family or leave your child in the capable hands of a professional guide, who’ll not only show them the best fishing techniques, but also explain transhumance and what an orri is. If you do wish to fish with your child, you must be in possession of the requisite fishing licence, whether it’s just for one day or the entire season. The equipment is provided on site and the activity lasts one hour.
Access and climb to the lake
To get to the lake, you’ll have to ride the Funicamp cable car. Once you get to Solanelles, you can choose to descend on foot – which takes about 15 minutes – or ride a 4x4 minibus that departs every 30 minutes.
This activity is only done in the summer months and is completely free of charge (the Funicamp and 4x4 bus journeys are paid separately).
