If there’s any time of year for giving gifts, Christmas is it! The most famous of all the fairs is the Santa Llúcia Fair, one traditionally specialising in Christmas themes and which is held on 13 December. Christmas markets have sprung up around it, and apart from Christmas decorations and festive items you can also find all kinds of gifts.
The oldest known Santa Llúcia Fair is that of Barcelona, which has been held there since 1786. As for Christmas markets, they’re held all over Europe, with those held in central European countries being especially popular and well-known.
With the changes in habits and customs, both Fairs and Markets have gradually started to be held earlier than the traditional date, and now they are typically open in early December.
The Christmas fairs and markets of Andorra apply the health protocols and measures in force so you can walk around and stop safely.
