A challenging route that is aimed at hikers that know how to climb. It will provide a fantastic panoramic view of the central parishes: Andorra la Vella, Escaldes-Engordany and Encamp.
The starting point is the Salita path, which is located to the right of the Pouader car park, directly opposite the Comú (Town Hall) of Escaldes-Engordany (N42 30.666 E1 32.337).
Once you have crossed Pessebre avenue, you will need to follow the various path signs at the intersections in the correct order: first Camí de la Grau, then Camí de la Font, then Camí de la Canya, then Camí del Coll de Jou path, and finally Camí del Pic de Padern.
For the first part of this route, you will walk alongside vegetable gardens and tobacco fields, and you will be able to see wild roses, blackthorn and shrubs populating the sunny side.
After the last crossing (N42 30.939 E1 72.729), you will come to a steep slope, with chains and handrails for the most difficult parts. After you have moved up the side of the Roc des Aubes, you will cross a forest of Scots pines, before arriving at the summit of the Pic de Padern. (N42 31.427 E1 32.772).
